Brookwood Cities

The Brookwood High District encompasses students from parts of Lawrenceville, Snellville and Lilburn.

The city of Lawrenceville is the county seat of Gwinnett County and was incorporated on December 15, 1821. This makes Lawrenceville the second oldest city in the Atlanta area. Located approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, you are only minutes away from Lake Lanier or a short drive puts you in the breath-taking North Georgia Mountains.

Snellville´s convenient location, approximately 18 miles east of Atlanta and 45 miles west of Athens at the intersection of U.S. Highway 78 and Georgia Highway 124, has allowed it to prosper and become one of Gwinnett County´s fastest growing cities for the past thirty years. Excellent schools, shopping and dining intermingled with tranquil walking trails and parks make Snellville a wonderful place to call home. Snellville is probably best described by the city motto: "Everybody's Somebody in Snellville"

Lilburn is located in the western part of Gwinnett County. The railroad runs through the old town area and Lawrenceville Highway (Highway 29) is the main corridor of traffic. The newly renovated 10-acre park features a walking/jogging path, children´s playground, tennis courts, public restrooms, rental pavilion, bandstand, and an open field area. The playground has been expanded with an exciting array of new age-appropriate equipment to please the kids.

Like most of the Metro Atlanta area this area has experienced tremendous growth. Excellent schools, shopping and access to employment combined with plenty of green space give that down-home fell with an up-town presence.
